Owns and manages 36 properties across York Region- made up of 2,600 rental units that are either subsidized or (at 15 of the sites) affordable market-rate
- provides customer service for residents, and property management services for five emergency and transitional housing facilities
A number of subsidized buildings and units have been modified to accommodate people with disabilities, including wheelchair or scooter accessibility and design of rooms, doorways, doorknobs and windows; further information available on website
The searchable 'Housing Location' directory www.york.ca/wps/portal/yorkhome/support/yr/housing/housinglocations includes listings for non-profit housing communities in York Region owned and operated by community-based organizations, which may also offer subsidized units, as well as co-operative housing communities seeking new members; apply directly to the housing provider if not a Housing York property
