Offers a range of services for babies, children and adolescents, including neonatal services (intensive care unit and follow-up clinic), pediatric inpatient and outpatient services, and health and wellness clinic
Pediatric Medicine Clinic (PMC) at Credit Valley Hospital:
- asthma clinic and asthma education clinic
- Botox clinic
- cardiology clinic
- eye clinic
- nephrology clinic
- sickle cell clinic
- POGO (Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario) Clinic * provides care for pediatric cancer patients in the community to help reduce the amount of time to travel to Sick Kids for medical procedures and blood work
- pre-sedation clinic
- respirology clinic
- rheumatology clinic
- retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) clinic
- respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) clinic
- spirometry clinic
- supportive care clinic
- post natal clinic (jaundice clinic)
Services at the Mississauga Hospital:- Family Care Centre (FCC) at Mississauga Hospital includes child procedure clinic and pediatric ED follow up clinic
- Family Care Centre (FCC) at 77 Queensway includes Kid Fit Health and Wellness, Neonatal Follow Up Clinic, Pediatric Diabetes Education Centre, Pediatric Endocrine Clinic, Pediatric General Medicine Clinic, Pediatric Neurology Clinic, and Pediatric Nutrition Clinic
- Pediatrics/Gynecology Inpatient Unit * social worker provides supportive counselling and practical assistance in locating other resources in the hospital and in the community
- pediatric surgery services * provides surgical procedures for children including tonsillectomies, ear tubes, hernia repairs, etc.
Other services:
- Child Life Specialist helps children and their families cope with stressful life events, particularly as they related to health care experiences
- focus on the psychosocial and developmental needs of children, collaborating with families and other healthcare providers
- Effective June 2020, Pediatric Outpatient Services (POPS) at Queensway Health Centre has been transitioned to community partners * for assessment, diagnosis or treatment of preschool children between 2 and 5 years of age, and live in Peel, Halton or Dufferin, contact ErinoakKids - Centre for Development and Treatment at 905-855-2690 ext 1
- Infant and Child Development Services Peel * for children 6 years and under with developmental risks * services include home and centre-based individual intervention, community and centre-based group interventions, and community consultations to help maintain children in their community environments * contact 905-564-7485 or 1-877-266-4566 or email icdspeel@thp.ca
- Peel Behavioral Services * community service that offers functional behavioural assessments, individual behavioural programs, brief interventions, consultative assistance, educational sessions, groups and a resource library for children over the age of two and their families * contact 905-712-4124
- Pediatric Sexual Assault Services * provides medical care for children under 12 years of age and psycho-educational counseling services for children and their families
